Market: Argentina win to nil
Odds:

Hoping this will be the year that they reclaim the World Cup, Argentina, led by Lionel Messi will travel to the National Stadium Ramat Gan to face off against Isreal on Saturday.

For Elisha Levy s Isreal side, after enduring another difficult qualifying campaign, the hosts have once again missed out on the World Cup finals. Sadly for Isreal, their form of late has continued to disappoint, The Blue and Whites are coming off the back of a 2-1 loss to Romania at the National Stadium and Isreal have now lost six of their last eight. It will also be their form in the final third that will be a huge cause for concern for Levy s side, Isreal have now failed to find the net in four of their six defeats and have only won one home match since Se…

Arsenal clash ´nothing new´ for Emery ahead of Europa League semi-final

Unai Emery insists facing a former club is nothing new to him as he aims to steer Villarreal to a first European final at the expense of previous employers Arsenal.

Villarreal made it through to the last four of the Europa League thanks to a 3-1 aggregate triumph over Dinamo Zagreb, who were surprise conquerors of Tottenham in the previous round.

After converting a penalty in the first leg to put the LaLiga side in control of the quarter-final tie, Gerard Moreno was on target again in a 2-1 win on Thursday to make it six goals in his past five outings in the competition.

Next up will be Arsenal, a club where Emery spent 18 months in charge. He reached the Europa League final with the Gunners in May 2019 but was sacked before the end of the calendar year.

Schick loaned to RB Leipzig by Roma

RB Leipzig have signed Roma forward Patrik Shick on loan for the rest of the season.

The Bundesliga club will pay a fee of €3.5million, with a further €500,000 depending on certain performance-related conditions being met.

If Leipzig qualify for the 2020-21 Champions League, they will have the option to make Shick s transfer permanent for €29m.

The 23-year-old Czech Republic international joined Roma on an initial loan from Sampdoria in August 2017, having impressed with 11 goals in his maiden Serie A season.

A youth product from Sparta Prague, Shick had seen a proposed move to Juventus collapse despite undergoing a medical in Turin – a saga that seemingly lingered over an underwhelming start to life in Italy s capital.

Over the course of…

Adeyemi rejects Barcelona offer in favour of Dortmund

RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi has rejected the advances from Barcelona and is set to join Borussia Dortmund instead, according to Sky in Germany.

At the age of 19, Adeyemi has already shown potential to grow into a world-class goalscorer very quickly, and has obviously attracted the attention of many. The likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have been credited with interest too. Barcelona are attempting to build a new era under Xavi Hernandez, but it seems the Salzburg youngster isn t interested in being a part of it just yet.

Meanwhile, Dortmund face a pretty realistic danger of losing Erling Haaland for free in the summer, and it could be that they want Adeyemi to follow in the Norwegian s footsteps and make the same move he made in January 2020, …

Arsenal and Everton lead Berge race

Arsenal and Everton lead the race, also involving a number of top clubs across Europe for the signature of Sheffield United s Sander Berge, according to .

The 23-year-old midfielder arrived to Bramall Lane from KRC Genk in January 2020, following some impressive performances in the Champions League for the Belgian side. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was spotted speaking to him after the game between the two teams in October 2019 in Genk, which naturally led to speculations about a potential move to Anfield. However, the Reds of Merseyside didn t act on it then and even though there have been reports recently about renewed interest, it seems the 23-year-old is at the moment more likely to join the Blues, or the Gunners.

Sheffield United have hoped to keep the majority o…

Ten Hag urges patience on Mainoo after FA Cup final strike

Erik ten Hag wants people to be patient with Kobbie Mainoo, despite the Manchester United youngster quickly developing into a star.

Mainoo s meteoric rise reached its highest peak yet as he netted in Saturday s FA Cup final against Manchester City, with his fine finish and Alejandro Garnacho s goal nine minutes prior ensuring United claimed a 2-1 victory over their rivals to lift the trophy.

Mainoo, aged just 19 years and 36 days, was the first English teenager to find the back of the net in an FA Cup final since 1981, while he is also the youngest to do so since John Sissons for West Ham in 1964.

Mainoo s cup final goal came in the same week he was named in Gareth Southgate s 33-man provisional squad for Euro 2024, and he looks a surefire bet to be on the plane …

Gary Neville: The next month will define Man Utd´s season

Manchester United s season will be defined over the next month, according to former Red Devils captain Gary Neville.

United defeated Leeds United 4-2 on Sunday to extend their advantage over fifth-placed West Ham to four points as the top-four race for Champions League qualification continues to twist and turn.

Arsenal are down in sixth, also four points behind United, but the Gunners boast three games in hand heading into the crunch period of the Premier League campaign.

Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, Neville said: They are playing Atletico Madrid away on Wednesday; the…

Tite: Coutinho can help Brazil replace injured Neymar

Brazil head coach Tite is bullish that Philippe Coutinho can help replace the injured Neymar in his first appearance in national colours for more than 12 months.

Coutinho, who earlier this month joined Aston Villa on loan from Barcelona, is set to line up for Selecao in place of the suspended Lucas Paqueta in Thursday s World Cup qualifier away to Ecuador.

The 29-year-old has not played for Brazil since October 2020 having undergone knee surgery in January 2021.

Coutinho s return coincides with the absence of Neymar who is out for the upcoming qualifiers with an ankle injury.

People always want Neymar, but at times things don t happen the way you want, Tite told reporters.

We feel sorry that Neymar can t be here, but we have other options. I m t…
